All-round capability: the new Sharp SV-series of swivel mounted projectors provide maximum flexibility at the touch of a button

Events that require content to be projected on several different screens in rapid succession are by no means rare. Until now, the use of several different projectors has been necessary for these applications. Today, the organizers of training events and the owners of conference hotels, congress centres and other event locations are able to face the future with just a single device. The two new models from Sharp, the XG-SV100W and XG-SV200X, are high‑quality DLP projectors that can be rotated 180 degrees in each direction by remote control, thereby covering a full 360 degrees, thanks to a motor-powered ceiling swivel mount. Both units can store up to eight different projection scenarios, enabling the projectors to switch within seconds between screens of different sizes and at different distances. This feature is of particular benefit in conference and meeting rooms that can be divided into different sections.

“The projectors of the new SV series provide maximum flexibility for use in conference and meeting rooms, auditoriums and classrooms,” emphasises Peter Heins, Product and R&D Manager at Sharp Electronics Europe. “Moreover, both projectors have first-class picture quality and numerous extra features.”

High all-round performance

The Sharp XG-SV100W has outstanding brightness of 4500 ANSI lumens and a display resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels (WXGA), whilst the XG-SV200X provides a brightness of 5000 ANSI lumens with resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels (XGA). Both units have a contrast ratio of 2000:1.

A high-performance 2.0 optical power zoom/focus lens with motor-powered horizontal and vertical lens shift ensures that top class picture quality is obtained at all the various distances and settings. The use of durable DLP technology helps to reduce operating and maintenance costs to a minimum. Thanks to their highly refined technology, DLP projectors provide both high contrast and true‑to-life colours, and they are particularly well-suited for 3D projection. The Sharp XG-SV100W and XG-SV200X are 3D-ready, meaning that with the appropriate hardware and content they are already capable of screening 3D images.

The 10-watt audio system delivers sufficient volume for presentations, but the projectors can also be connected to external sound systems without any problem. All presentation functions can be controlled by remote control.

The projectors of the SV series can be used with or without the optional ceiling mount with motor-powered swivel system.
